Reading a Vial Label
What the numbers and words on a research vial actually mean.
A research vial label typically shows the compound name, the total mass (in mg), a lot or batch number, and storage guidance.
The total mass (e.g., 10 MG) is not a dose and not a volume — it is how much compound is in the vial before any liquid is added.
Lot/batch numbers matter for traceability. Storage guidance tells you how to keep the material stable. Always keep the vial labeled, and keep the product documentation that came with it.
